Generating permanent token

Once the App is created and the number is configured with the App, the next step is to create the permanent toke. You can follow the following steps to create the permanent token;

• Navigate back to 'business.facebook.com -> Settings'

• Go to 'System Users' under 'Users'

• Click on 'Add' to create the new system user

You can skip this step if the system user is already created

• Click on 'Assign Assets'

• Configure the following & then click on 'Save Changes' to save the configuration

  • Select 'Asset Type' as 'Apps'

  • Select the app you created under 'Assets'

  • Switch on 'Manage App' under 'Permissions' to provide 'Full Control'

• Navigate to 'Apps' under 'Accounts'

• Select the app you created

• Under configuration, click on 'Assign People' & configure the following

  • Select the created or existing system user under 'People'

  • Switch on 'Manage App' under 'Access' to provide 'Full Control'

• Navigate back to 'System Users' under 'Accounts'

• Click on 'Generate New Token' & configure the following

  • Select the 'App' from 'Drop Down'

  • Set 'Token Expiry' to 'Never'

  • Check following 'Permissions' from the available list

    • Whatsapp_business_management

    • Whatsapp_business_messaging

  • Click on 'Generate Token' to generate new token
